My son was having difficulty with alcohol. His counsellor worked at my son’s pace. After an in-depth intervention, my son was able to learn about his addiction and patterns of behaviour which affected his repeated relapses. We were concerned every time he relapsed, but his counsellor assured him to continue with his therapy and keep attending regular sessions. It’s now 2 years and 4 months since my son has been relapse-free. It feels like reuniting with a lost child who has been absent from their family’s lives.
